Yeah man, he woulda smacked me too. Whether I was 15 or 28 (now).

My dad's pretty crazy about cursing though. I've seen him almost get in fights with guys in public because they were cursing in front of me (when i was a kid) or any other kids or any women.

He also fired a guy on the spot at his shop one night for cursing in front of me (I was like 10). Guy dropped an F bomb. my dad "If you use the F word in front of my kid again you're fired. There are no questions asked - do it again your fired".

He made it about 5 minutes before saying it again, and my dad ALWAYS follows through on threats, he told him to go punch out and get off his property. He'd mail him his last check.

Haha. I can understand this out of an older guy. But to think women in this day and age are any more or less hurt by cursing than men are is perhaps a bit much, but perhaps also a form of chivalry. In front of children I can understand a little more.

And hey, if it's your business you can totally enforce a no swearing rule, haha. Maybe he should try a swearing jar? Dock a half hour of pay every time :D

My parents were/are very relaxed about it. But they did raise me to know when NOT to curse/swear.

yeah he's pretty old school about such things.

Now that I'm an adult he's fine with me using the "lower level" words (ass hell damn are unquestioned if used appropriately and not in front of women or children).

That guy was at the end of his rope anyhow, I think it was the tipping point/straw that broke the camels back situation.

He did have a pretty cool beater 80s bronco tho
